About

Owner, architect and lead developer.

CliqNova is a one-person consultancy. That's deliberate: you work with the person who designs the system, writes the code and answers the phone when it's in production.

Background

Thirty years, every layer of the stack

I started in 1994 writing billing and accounting software for a telecom, moved through embedded imaging systems for banking, enterprise Java and .NET intranet platforms, healthcare BPO systems, commercial marketing platforms and real-time analytics — and have run CliqNova as an independent consultancy since 2014, taking on longer-term contract and W-2 engagements when the fit is right and CliqNova project work in between.

What that buys you: someone who has seen the full lifecycle many times and can step into whatever role the project is missing — writing code, leading a team, or designing the system — without a ramp-up on the fundamentals.

Applied AI. Deep-learning and predictive models in a live factory; LLM features shipped in production desktop tools — RAG and embeddings, agentic tool loops, constrained structured output, redaction and evidence guardrails, local and cloud backends, cost metering.

Current focus. Native desktop and cross-platform work in C#/.NET with Avalonia UI, systems work in C++20, Kotlin Multiplatform for mobile, and industrial IoT from MQTT services down to ESP32 firmware and NFC readers. Alongside client work I'm building CliqNova's own developer tools — NovaLog, NovaScan and CnSite among them; a product site will follow.

Working style. Requirements written down before code. Diagrams and documentation that survive the project. Tests, CI and clean handoffs so your team can own the result. I work with in-house staff for integration and review, and offer support after delivery.
